We’re sorry to hear your plants aren’t thriving as you hoped — we know how disappointing that can be. Growing plants can sometimes take a little patience, and there are a few factors that can affect growth.
We’re here to help you get the best from your garden.
Common reasons for slow or poor growth
There are a few things that may affect how your plants grow:
- Time of year – Some plants may take longer to establish, especially after planting or during cooler months.
- Plant type – Some varieties are naturally slower growers than others.
- Positioning – Make sure the plant is in the right spot (light, space, shelter) for its needs.
- Watering & feeding – Too much or too little water, or a lack of nutrients, can affect growth.
- Transplant shock – It’s normal for some plants to take time to settle after delivery.
