Some of the items I ordered are now out of stock. What happens next?

Occasionally, items in your order may be out of stock, which can delay the completion of your delivery. Here’s what might be happening:


Why are items out of stock?

  • Delayed or rejected deliveries from growers: Sometimes our growers experience delays, or the plants they send don’t meet our quality standards. When this happens, we reject those plants and request a fresh delivery. This may temporarily delay shipping, but we’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as the items become available.
  • Pre-order items: Some plants are listed as a ‘pre-order’ item when you purchase them, meaning they’re advertised before they’re ready to ship. The website and your order confirmation will show the expected ship date. Please note this is only an estimate—weather and growing conditions can affect the timing, so deliveries may arrive earlier or later than anticipated.


What about the other items in my order?

If you have other products ready to send, the nursery may choose to ship those separately to avoid further delay. We’ll email you tracking details as soon as any part of your order ships. They may choose to wait for the out-of-stock items to be in-stock before shipping the whole order. This is dependent on the length of time your items will be out of stock for.


In the event that some of the items will no longer be available for an indefinite amount of time, we will cancel part of your order and issue you a refund for those items and ship the remainder of your order.
